Job description

The Legal Writer will be assisting the attorney and the team with preparing various immigration cases. The incumbent needs to communicate with clients in different academic backgrounds, creating and reviewing documents of a highly specialized and complex nature. To serve in the position, the incumbent must have the skills to research, identify and analyze voluminous material relevant to the clients’ applications, and then design and produce a finished product in a multitude of fields. The Writer will need to be able to work with complex business, financial, legal and technical terms. The writing is analytical and creative by nature due to different backgrounds and needs of our clients.

Job Duties:

· Assist attorneys with the preparation of immigration and non-immigration applications and petitions.

· Assist attorneys in drafting and editing specialized and technical evidentiary statements, business and communications plans.

· Conducting professional and in-depth research and analysis based on the requirements of the writing assignments.

· Assist in editing and proofreading legal and business written documents.

· Communicate regularly with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues, assisting with the review of cases.

· Responsible for assembling files, answering client's questions and other daily duties.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism/Communications, Master's degree preferred.

· Excellent English writing and editing skills.

· Employment immigration law firm/legal service experience preferred but not required.

· Professional level communication research and analysis skills.

· Must have a detailed approach to handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.

· Mandarin speaking preferred but not required.

Sponsor H-1B, OPT and CPT.
